Please explain why chicken droppings become watery green as shown below and smell. The chicken looks healthy. Is a condition like this problematic? How's it going?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changes in the shape, smell and color of chicken feces are an indication of changes in the digestive system and health of chickens. Normal chicken feces are greenish or brownish, solid\/clay, with a white part covered with uric acid at the top. When viewed from the image that you have sent, it can be indicated several possibilities such as infection, nutritional disorders or signs of stress in chickens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Stress<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Loose stools are usually the result of heat stress <\/em>(stress due to too high ambient temperature), during hot cage conditions the need for water increases sharply. If the normal temperature ratio of water needs: feed is 2 : 1, while in hot conditions can reach 5: 1. Chicken will naturally increase its drinking consumption to lower body temperature. The effect that can result from this is that the stool becomes more watery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Nutritional disorders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    High levels of protein and salt in the feed can disrupt the electrolyte balance in the body, making the stool wetter. High salt levels will trigger increased water consumption so that the chicken becomes diarrhea. Similarly, with protein levels that are too high, the remaining undigested protein can cause uric acid deposits in the kidneys that trigger chickens to drink more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Infectious diseases<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and parasites can show symptoms of diarrhea. Examples of diseases that can cause symptoms of diarrhea include NE, colibacillosis, salmonellosis<\/em>, kolera dan penyakit viral terutama yang bersifat imunosupresif seperti AI, Gumboro, IB, ND, dll. While parasitic worm infections, coccidiosis, and Leucocytozoonosis <\/em>also causes diarrhea. Diarrhea resulting from each of these diseases has different characteristics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Determination of the diagnosis of certain diseases not only from the condition of the stool, but the shape and characteristics of the stool can help in confirming the diagnosis. To be more accurate, the observation of other clinical symptoms should be made, surgery mainly looks at changes in the digestive tract and, if necessary, laboratory tests to support the diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Of the three causes of stool changes, the right way is needed to overcome them according to the cause. Here are some ways to treat diarrhea based on each cause :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Nutritional disorders: <\/strong>Provide feed that suits the needs of chickens according to their phase. If necessary, check the nutritional levels of the feed and can be matched with the label on the feed sack to ensure the nutritional levels are appropriate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
