Brooding management is a determinant of the success of chicken performance. With intensive handling during the brooding period, chicks will experience rapid growth and development so that they will produce optimal harvests.
Based online using Youtube and Zoom Live Streaming media, Medion together with Trobos held education through the 44th Edition of Mimbar Trobos on 26th March, 2024. Raising the topic “Consistency of Brooding Broiler Management” and presenting Suhut, S.Pt. as Technical Education & Consultation Medion and two other speakers Dr. Faizal Andri, S.Pt., M.Pt. (Expert Assistant and Lecturer at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Brawijaya) and Rahmad Susilowarno, S.Pt. (Owner of Berkah Putra Chicken Bogor) to complete various perspectives related to the topics raised.
In his presentation, Suhut said that there are five primary objectives of brooding, specifically optimal daily gain, good initial uniformity, health, harvest age according to standards, and optimal yields. To realize this goal, strategies are needed in it, including regulating ventilation, regulating drinking water, feeding, and monitoring and assessment so as to produce comfortable brooding for livestock.
This activity was attended by participants from various regions, such as East Java, West Sumatra, Gorontalo, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, D.I. Yogyakarta, Jambi, and many more. Medion hopes that participants can know and understand the factors that affect the brooding period and the right solution in facing obstacles during the brooding period. In addition, the presence of participants from various regions can reach and provide comprehensive education to various levels of society in Indonesia.
